Archive Etiquette

1. All Chicoon Rules & Guidelines apply.

2. If you are confused or disagree with the reasons for a denial, contact sweathie on CS or Discord to resolve any issues.

3. There is a maxiumum of 10 forms allowed in a single post.

4. Everything must have its own form. The only form allowed multiple items is "Gifting/Selling a MYO Token or Item".

This includes Gifting or Selling multiple Chicoons from the same Nursery Batch.
5. Do not change the hex code of the form header.

I will be very sad :(
6. For sales, either the Buyer or Seller can post the form.

As long as the form is filled out properly, it doesn't matter.
7. Gifting a Chicoon requires proof of the Receiver accepting the gift.

Live link to a Toyhou.se Ownership Log. The chicoon must have been transferred from an account clearly belonging to the previous owner to an account clearly belonging to the new owner. Both users must have their TH page linked on their CS profile or use the same username cross-platform.

Using a MYO (On-Oekaki)
This form is used when you use a MYO token to create a Chicoon under the Transfers and MYOs Thread using ChickenPaint.

Using a MYO (Off-Oekaki)
This form is used when you use a MYO token off-oekaki or claim an Artist Search entry with a MYO.

Creating a Custom Chicoon
This form is used when a custom Chicoon is created for a user.
Official Chicoon Artists must also fill out this form.

Chicoonification
This form is used in addition to your MYO (On-Oekaki) or MYO (Off-Oekaki) form when you are transferring a non-Chicoon character design into a Chicoon.

Chicoonification Guidelines

There are three paths you can take when chicoonifying a design:

1) Full Chicoonification

This character is fully turned into a Chicoon. Their original design is no longer used.

Example

Full Chicoonifications can be used in the nursery.
2) Full Chicoonification with "Powers / Magic / Abilities [R] (Shapeshifting)"

This character is fully turned into a chicoon. Their original design is retained as a form they can shapeshift into using the “Powers / Magic / Abilities [R]” Trait.

Example

The only exception is human forms. Chicoons cannot have official human shapeshifting forms (due to the implications of breeding Chicoons and humans). You can still draw your Chicoon as a human if you want! It is just not something that exists in the Chicoons canon universe.

Full Chicoonifications with Powers can be used in the nursery.
3) Partial Chicoonifications

This character is given a Chicoon form. Their original design is still the main design used.


Example

These can be Chicoon forms of human characters (or any other species). The chicoon design does not need to have “Powers / Magic / Abilities [R]”.

Partial Chicoonifications cannot be used in the nursery.

Sales

Any ownership change of a Chicoon is considered a sale. This includes gifting a Chicoon, MYO, or Item to another user, as well as trading a Chicoon, MYO, or Item to another user in exchange for a Chicoon/MYO/Item.

Revamps

The steps to Revamping a Chicoon

1. Get permission from the Designer of the Chicoon - Official Chicoons Artists' Permissions can be found listed here!
if a user cannot be reached or is no longer active on Chicken Smoothie, permission can be granted by reaching out to a member of the moderation team.

2. Read the below guidelines to make sure you're following all Revamp Rules!

3. Post the below form to get your Revamp approved.

4. This form is ONLY for Annual Revamps. For transferring a v1 or v2 Chicoon into v3, see here.

Guidelines

Age

Chicoons must be one year or older to be revamped.
Color Palette

A chicoon's color palette can be slightly tinted or edited, but cannot be majorly changed. Colors must remain in the same hue family (green must still be green, but it can be a slightly warmer/cooler or darker/lighter green than before.
Specific Colors

The following details on a chicoon can have its color completely changed: nose, tongue, inner ear, pawpads, eyebrows, teeth, horns, extra feathers, eyelashes, claws, pupil
Flame Color

A chicoon's flame color can be changed, as long as it is in line with a chicoon's traits and rarity.
For example, a chicoon with "Single Flame Color (NR)" can have its flame color changed from "Fell" to "Mingo" and a chicoon with "Double Flame Color (UC)" can have its flame colors changed from "Fell and Mingo" to "Florescent and Neon Feucha", but a chicoon with "Single Flame Color (NR)" cannot be given "Florescent and Neon feucha" flame or vice versa.
Overall Design Elements

Overall Designs can be simplified, complexified, or changed to fit a user's personal style better. The elements must still carry the original spirit.
For example, tiger stripes can be drawn differently than the original design, but they must still be tiger stripes.
Specific Design Elements

Small details can be added to or removed from a chicoon's design - things like small hearts, freckles, or "tattoos" - as long as they do not change more than 15% of a chicoon's visible design.
Traits

Traits cannot be added to or removed from a chicoon without use of an item. Traits which already exist on a chicoon can be modified within the spirit of the original trait execution.
Non-Rarity Traits

The following NR traits can be added to a chicoon during a revamp: Pseudo-Official Companions, Unofficial Companions, Physique, Colored Pupils, Accessories, Scars, Custom Lines, Expressions, Disabilities, Muzzle Shape Edit
Future Revamps

Revamps can occur again 1 year after your chicoon has last been revamped.

Frequently Asked Questions

xxxxxxxxxxQ: How do I find myself in the Archive?

A: The archive is based off of User IDs, not usernames xxxxxxx
so it might be a bit confusing at first!
Your user ID is the string of numbers
at the end of your User Page Link.
For example, this is my User Page
and the numbers at the end are "703858",
so my User ID is 703858!

xxxxxxxxxxQ: Why User IDs?

A: Usernames can be changed at any time xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
and infinitely many times, so it can be
hard to keep track of the right usernames.
You cannot change your User ID (unless
if you change accounts), so using User IDs
helps to keep the Archive consistent and
up-to-date!

xxxxxxxxxxQ: When will my Chicoon be added to the Archive?

A: Approvals will happen spontaneously duringxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
the week, hopefully weekly. The Archive Spreadsheetxxx
gets updated twice a month on weekends.

xxxxxxxxxxQ: What is included in an Archive Update?

A: Any of the following items posted since the last xxxxxxxxxxx
since the last archive update:
Main Page Adopts, Off Oekaki Adopts, Nursery Batches,
Current Event Adopts, Gods, and any
Chicoons approved on this thread.

xxxxxxxxxxQ: When will my Chicoon be approved?

A: The Spreadsheet can only be updated by sweathie,xxxxxxxxx
however Archive Staff and moderators can approve forms.
This will happen when Chicoon staff are available.
All Chicoon staff are adults and/or students, meaning
that the weeks get busy for us. Please be patient.

xxxxxxxxxxQ: When selling, who posts the form?

A: Only one person needs to post the form,xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
and which person this is (buyer or seller)
doesn't matter, as long as the form is
filled out with the proper information.

xxxxxxxxxxQ: What if sweathie has me blocked?

A: If I have you blocked, meaning that youxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
cannot post on the archive thread, PM your
form directly to one of the other moderators
(Buzz Aesthetic or Loxosceles).
The same applies if you are simply uncomfortable
with interacting with me!
