general rules

1. goobies are a closed species. you may not make your own without permission or the appropriate items.

4. art theft and design theft of any kind are forbidden. this is also a rule enforced by many websites and laws.
5. excessive bumping of competitions is not appreciated. the staff team can take up to a month to judge if needed.
6. whining, begging, and other behaviors that can be seen as unnecessarily negative or rude are not appreciated.
7. for paid goobies, you have 48 hours from the completed judging to pay. refunds are not possible.
8. for auctions, you may only autobuy 5 goobies a month. this is to give everyone a chance to buy goobies!
9. the species rules and terms of service overwrite any personal rules or terms of service, including individual artist terms of service: creating a goobie means that goobie must follow the goobies species rules and terms of service!
10. rules are subject to change or be added to at the admins discretion.
species rules

1. you may own an unlimited amount of goobies.
2. goobies may be bred infinitely, with a cooldown between of 21 days.
3. you must own a goob 7 days before being breeding, trading, or selling them.
4. a goo is able to be grown after 14 days. a freshly grown goob must wait an additional 7 days to breed.
5. goob traits that cover a large portion of the design will require an alternate, clear reference.
6. anyone may grow, transfer, or make their myos, on oekaki or off oekaki using the appropriate pages.
   
   growths, transfers, and myo creation may also be commissioned.
7. goobies, items, and myos may be gifted, traded or sold for anything, real or virtual currency.
   
   you must post on the archive update thread to finalize sales, gifts, and transfers.
8. pre-existing designs/ocs you own may be transferred into the species with the original designer's permission.
9. once a goob is owned by a user, it belongs completely to them: the owner does not need the original designer/artist's permission to make any changes to their goob with items or leniencies.
species requirements

• goo must be separated from the “outside” by a goo membrane.
• goo membrane should always be a lower opacity than goo, with trait exception.
• goo, goo membrane, and nose must always appear shiny.
• goobies cannot be heavily based off existing characters due to copyright.
• agels must have goo halo and wings. diabs must have goo horns and tail.
• goobies must be either agel or diab, and must follow the appropriate species requirements and traits.
• each goobie should be unique, clearly distinguishable from other designs, and entirely original.

staff rules

1. staff are expected to follow the rules and ensure that they are followed as well.
2. staff are expected to be unbiased in regards concerning multiple users.
3. staff are expected to be seen as a team and present a united front.
4. all staff share similar duties: approving growths, transfers, customs, answering questions, etc.
5. if you are unable to come to a decisive answer for a question or approval, please ask the team for help!
6. we are a team and aspire to help each other grow, please do not be afraid to ask for help or constructive criticism!
7. staff receive an item of their choice from the staff shop for each month of activity.
8. staff members are required to be a member of the goobies discord. to specify, it’s totally okay if you have a secondary discord account just for goobies/chickensmoothie servers! you do not have to join the discord on your “main” account to meet this requirement.
9. staff who are absent from the community for three months without warning will be removed from the staff list. please contact an admin if you plan to take an extended haitus, so that you are not removed from the team!
artist rules

1. competitions for goobies may be any kind you wish to host, either paid or free.
2. competitions must be judged in a fair and unbiased manner.
3. if you are unable to judge a competition, another member of staff will step in for you.
4. goobies may be made on custom lines!
   
   your very first custom lines will require senior staff approval before posting.
5. traits must be listed clearly under each created goob.
6. regular artist staff cannot create nursery batches until they have first practiced by creating an entry in the nursery artist search.
7. artists keep 100% of the profit they make from paid adopts.
   
   additionally, during events they keep any event currency that are spent on their adopts.
8. paid adopts that are auctions cannot have an AB added once the bidding starts.
   
   the AB must either be added at the very start, or not added at all.
9. when re-using a heavily edited base, please run it by an admin first. for RU’s, this rule is a bit more loose, as RU's may follow the same theme. as always, designs should still be noticeably different at a glance. if in doubt, contact an admin!
10. artists are allowed to ignore entries from users they have blocked, this must be done respectfully and discretely.
artist recommendations

• lines: pen tool ∙ size 3 ∙ full opacity
• outside goo membrane: 45% layer opacity
• inside goo: 100% layer opacity
• remember to use smoothing. ( recommended: 15-25% )
• you'll notice that there are two shades of purple saved in the color swatch.
  
  the darker purple are used for lines, while the lighter purple was used to shade.
  feel free to change the color of the lines and shading as desired.
guest/trial staff rules

1. trial begins on the 1st of each month and ends with the month.
   
   if you are unable to complete your trial within that timeframe, please reach out to an admin for an extension!
2. for trial artists, as part of training, all designs must first be presented to the staff team for approval before posting.
3. for trial moderators, as part of training, all messages sent to users must first be presented to the staff team before posting.
4. guest artists must create a minimum of 3 goobies if they wish to be considered for a full position.
5. at the end of their trial period, staff receive an item of their choice from the staff shop.
6. all other staff rules apply to trial staff/guest artists.

ban information
upon the occurrence of a ban, you will lose your status as a member of the species.

you may no longer participate in the species as a whole: community, events, adopts, or otherwise.
we also ask that you refrain from using our species artwork and lore after you have been banned.

we will never out-right take goobies that you have purchased or otherwise earned.
instead, you will have to select their fates from the below options.
failure to message an admin with your selected fate means we'll automatically assume the first fate listed!


1. keep your goobies as is. this allows you to gift/trade/sell them within the species.
2. transfer your design out of the species.
   
   this allows you to make whatever changes you want to your designs, but they will lose their attachment to the species and be unable to be gifted/traded/sold within the species.
3. forfeit your ownership rights, and allow us to raffle the goobies off to the community.
   
   items you owned will also be raffled off to the community.
   you will not be able to select who receives your goobies or items, as this can be seen as ban evading.

• if you are unable to accurately copy a complex goos design for their growth/transfer, beyond the 80% range, you are welcome to invoke goob growth/transfer leniency. please note that simplifying your goob's design will be permanent, although it maintains the intention of sticking as close to the original design as possible.
• you may also invoke connection leniency while growing/transferring a goob! connection leniency allows you to alter the goob's design beyond would be an accurate growth/transfer, in the hopes of helping you connect more to the design. changes made can only be minor in nature. goobies invoking growth/transfer connection leniency can only be approved by an admin.
• this allows you to: grow/transfer your goob with a slightly different design than the original

remake goob leniency 💡 this leniency is intended for myo/custom goobies!

• if you are unable to connect with your myo goob, you can seek out the use of this leniency to change your already created and approved goob.
• read below for the leniencies possibilities:
  
  
  • if your goob has never been bred:
    
    • you may change the design however you wish.
    • the trait list may be swapped within the same tier (for example, swapping out g1 fur to g1 tongue shape).
  • if your goob has been bred:

    • the trait list must remain the same unless an item is being used to add/remove traits.
  • if if you are not the original owner of the myo/custom:

• you may use this leniency to make a variety of possible changes, such as: simplifying the design, removing a marking, adjusting a marking, changing a markings' color, or etc...!
• scented goobs must be max level/removed from scented goob status in order to invoke this leniency.
• this allows you to: make minor changes to an adopted/scented goob

pretty-up goob leniency 💡 this leniency is intended for adjusting a goob’s line art.

• some goobies might just be old or lack that same touch of love other goobies have, this leniency is to show love to those goobies by updating them!
• this leniency does not allow you to change the goob's design or traits, it only allows you to update linework, shading, and other stylistic choices. please keep the prettied up edits looking as close to the original's intended as possible.
• this allows you to: redo edits, redo linework, redo hair style, redo shading/effects, and possibly more, upon request!

stylist goob leniency 💡 intended for changing your goob's hairstyle!

• is it time to change things up? this leniency is for changing your goob’s hairstyle- anything goes! change the color, length, style, as much and as often as you like!

cleanse leniency 💡 intended for removing traits applied by items!

FAQ

I know many people don't consider mashing together two species and calling it a closed species okay due to being reported or harassed for having a character that resembles a closed species. I don't care if your character resembles the ottercats, currently they're literally just otters and cats mashed together. I haven't fully thought out or drawn out anything extra in terms of world building, so yeah, right now they're probably looking similar to your hybrid OC. And they probably will continue to as well. But the world of Ottercats is what I want to build and focus on, the different genotypes and fenotypes, their diet, potentially new hybrid species within their world. I've even got plans of introducing other aspects after certain events. I'm getting a bit off track here, but my point is, I do not endorse any harassment of any kind. Period. Refer to this if you ever get attacked for having an OC or art that looks similar to an otter and cat hybrid.

- You must read over all the rules before interacting.
We'll be able to tell if you don't!

- Perosomo are a closed species.
Anyone who appears to imitate this species or any of the NPCs involved will instantly be banned from this species. Characters that coincidentally look similar are fine (we can't claim certain design elements or lore and the end of the day), so long as they don't claim to be a perosomo/or are exact copies of pre-existing characters. Please DM the owner if you see anything suspicious.

- Perosomo can only be obtained by official staff adopts, MYOs, gifts, nursery kids and similar.
Any perosomo that is posted by an unofficial account or staff member is not official. If you happen to own a fake perosomo, DM a staff member.

- Perosomo don't need to follow the written lore.
You're welcome to adapt their lore into your own thing, you don't need to follow the species lore 100%.

- Perosomo cannot be made without permission.
You must either win/buy adopts or use a MYO ticket. You cannot make a Perosomo without permission.

- The lines, brand and general lore of Perosomo belong to Akkiod.
Unless passed to another owner.

- You may not sell or give away designs if you are not an official staff member.
You're welcome to offer a design to another user that they can make official with a MYO ticket, but it is not official until that ticket has been used.

- All Perosomo must have a design, alias and a completed trait list to be official.
You will be contacted if yours doesn't, or contact us first! Alias are the nickname given to perosomo and can be found in the archive or on their adoption page. As of 04/11/2023 names are no longer tracked in the archive. Alias (the nickname given to perosomo for archiving purposes) cannot be changed, unless absolutely necessary (contact Akkiod if you'd like to request a change). MYOs will be given an alias in the archive.

- Perosomo use a currency called starfruit.
More information about starfruit can be found in the store.

- 1 starfruit = 1c$

- Starfruit can be used to buy MYOs, edit items, event items and (occasionally) adopts.
If starfruit is an option, it will be stated. Don't attempt to buy regular adopts with starfruit if it doesn't specify you can.

- Starfruit can be earned in a few different ways, but cannot be bought.
Starfruit can be earned by participating in adopts, competitions, referring other people to the discord server and giveaways.

- Starfruit cannot be exchanged into c$.

- You can have a nursery batch done once per month.
This includes any perosomo of yours, regardless of which perosomo you used for the breeding.

- There is no limit to how many times you can breed a perosomo.

- Perosomo are all intersex, and so, can breed with any other gender.
Perosomo can use any pronouns, present in any way and can be infertile either way if you want them to steer a specific gender, but this won't be specified in the archive in any way.

- Perosomo can have relationships with non-perosomo.
Romantic relationships are completely up to you.

- Breeding a perosomo with a non-perosomo is allowed with specific breeding tickets.
Don't expect to breed your perosomo with an omnipotent being in order to get infinite rare traits through, Perosomo genes are often dominant and getting a bunch of rare traits is unlikely. Perosomo mixed with non-perosomo are known as mixed breeds (see below).

- You cannot breed perosomo that are related or underage.
At all. Ever.

- (Most) NPCs can be bred with.
Click on their specific page to see their individual breeding fee and information. Most perosomo will be available for breeding at one time or another (including gods).
The only perosomo that will never be up for breeding is Beau as they are depicted as underage.

- We have the right to refuse any perosomo x non-perosomo breedings.
We won't accept any underage or human(/oid) - unless your Perosomo can shape shift - characters, or anything that doesn't seem to fit with a perosomo. You're welcome to pick a different character if we refuse the one you use.

- You cannot breed with other closed species.
Unless you get owner's permission to do so. Any species that accept perosomo breedings will be added to the list here.

- Perosomo can be grown after 3 months.
You or anyone you choose can grow a perosomo. You are not permitted to add traits or stars to a perosomo when growing it. You are also not allowed to change the perosomo's design in any way apart from NR traits.

- Perosomo are all born with 1 star.
You can earn more by completing tasks found in the town square.

- Perosomo have one kit per person breeding.
If you're breeding two of your own kits, they'll have one child. If you and another person are breeding, they'll have two kits so you can have one kit each. This is always the rule unless you use extra items to boost the amount of babies, which can be found in the store.

- Mixed breed perosomo often look like perosomo but contain only ½ perosomo DNA.
Surprising, I know.

- MB perosomo are all infertile and cannot be bread further.
This will be noted in the archive so don't try to sneakily breed them.

- You can only breed non-perosomo with a perosomo once.
This is once per perosomo, not once per person or character. This is so there isn't an influx of MB perosomo.

- The character has to be yours.
Unless you have proof that you're able to breed with them, please only use your characters for breeding.

- You cannot make a perosomo without the use of a MYO ticket.
Tickets can be bought in the store.

- You're welcome to claim designs from the artist search instead.
This has separate forms, so make sure you read over everything first. You may only claim an artist search design if the owner has specifically allowed you to. Always ask first.

- You're welcome to commission or request another user to draw your MYO.
However, an artist cannot charge you for pre-made artist search designs. You can only ask for payment for custom made designs. Don't harass an artist if they don't decide to draw your MYO.

- MYOs are allowed to be custom lined.

- MYOs can be off-oekeki.
Provided you fill out the appropriate forms.

- Do not remove the 'fake' sign until your custom is approved.

- Do not remove the signature, even if it's off-oekaki or custom lined.
You're welcome to add your own signature to custom lined designs, but the original signature must be visible.

- Make sure the appropriate form is filled out.
Make sure you fill out the correct form for your MYO, whether it's a regular MYO or off-oekaki.

- You're welcome to edit/change the background however you wish.
Or have no background at all.

- AS designs are not official.
They can become official with the use of a ticket, but are not official upon creation.

- All artist search entries must have an accurate trait list.
The trait list is taken into consideration when picking artists!

- AS designs are allowed to be custom lined.

- AS designs can not be off-oekeki.
This may change in the future, but for now, this is so everything is in one place. If you're applying for an off-oekaki position, use the staff form instead!

- Do not remove the 'fake' sign.
If you happen to delete it, just quickly draw a new one. It's also preferred you don't resize or place it elsewhere (unless it is directly getting in the way)

If you colour in the lines, it has to be an artist search (or myo). You're not permitted to just try out the lines.

- Do not put your artist entries under a cover.
But it is preferred you link back to your previous entries. Any entries under a cover will not be counted.

- Each perosomo must have a listed element.
Or two, if they have 4 - 5+ colours on their tail. Perosomo with singular coloured tails still have an element, they're just not magically proficient in said element.

- Perosomo can only have 1-2 of the following elements;
Fire, Water, Nature, Light, Dark, Love, War, Electricity, Metal, Ground, Air, Life and Death. Any element not in this list is not an element that's available for your perosomo to master in.

- Each element has its own abilities, but are about the same amount of power.
Pick your element based on preference, not anything else.

You must sign up before engaging with perosomo. Once signed up, your storage will be created here.

• Guest artists can create up to 3 adoptables per month.
• Guest artists may make one Uncommon adopt; the rest may be at rarity Common or below.
• Guest artists must make their first 2 adopts free, and may charge for the 3rd as long as the rules for paid adopts below are followed.

• Artists may make any number of adoptables per month, but at least 2 must be free.
• Artists may charge whatever they would like for paid adoptables, but MUST accept CS currency (pets or C$, your choice) as an option for payment as long as the adoptable is posted in the CS Oekaki.
• Sales involving real currency must be discussed offsite, per CS rules.
• Rare tier adoptables are limited to 1 per month, and Mythical/Special tier adoptables must be discussed before posting.
• Artists are not required to set an 'autobuy' for any auction/OTA (offer-to-adopt).

• All staff members are still subject to all general rules of the species.
• Any full-time staff member may request to host an event as long as it is discussed with Kitteh.

• Guest artists will be paid a 1 time Staff MYO Ticket, which will be upgraded to a Rare Staff MYO Ticket if all 3 adoptables are made within the month they are hired.
• Artist payment will depend on the amount of adoptables and nursery batches created within a month, resetting on the 1st of each month. (see chart below)

• Any non-artist staff members will receive 1 Staff MYO Ticket per week, resetting on Mondays at CS Rollover.

• All full-time staff may receive 1 Special Staff MYO Ticket for hosting an event.
• All full-time staff may make themselves 1 free nursery breeding per month.
• All staff may swap their Staff MYO Ticket for any (non-MYO) shop item.

- You can Adopt a Friesian that has: Adopt me! In the top right corner
- To adopt a Friesian, you just need to fill out the artists form correctly following the rules for each adopt.
- Editing or Pimping the form is only allowed when the artist says so
- no picture bombing = do not post more then 2 pictures for comps unless the comp rules say otherwise.
- You must post picture credits on any photo comps! even if not said in comp rules.
- if posting a image make sure to include the link for the image incase the image code doesn't work
- Do not rush artists, we are all people and things IRL can come up. If something is not getting done you may contact the artist but it must have been at least 2 weeks. if over a month and no contact from artist(given you have tried to contact them already) please privately contact me and I will sort it out.
- I don't want to see rushing or impatience for anything.
- Customs are only obtainable through competitions or the shop, do not ask for free customs.
- All artists judge fair and square!
- All non artist staff get customs following this - 1 every month up to rare in rarity or you can wait 2 months and trade those in for 1 Very rare custom.

glimmerwolves are semi-open, meaning that you are allowed to make your own glimmerwolf (using our base or custom drawn) under our MYO thread, but must have them approved by a staff member if you would like to use them to participate in the species' community. there will also be adopts made under here that will be free to enter or paid adopts made by artists on the staff team.

you are allowed to make a glimmerwolf to use as a personal character. you are not allowed to make glimmerwolves to sell for profit or to host adopt competitions, as that is something only artists on the staff team can do.

glimmerwolf inspired ocs and etc. are okay to make but won't be recognized as official glimmerwolves and cannot be used within the species' community if they are not approved or made by an artist on the staff team. it's completely fine to make them but they won't have the official "glimmerwolf" name so to speak.

• You may gift/be gifted an Axoflee
-You may not claim an Axoflee that you don't own as your own
-You may not claim the lines as your own
-You may upload your Axoflee’s to different websites with proper credit
-You may not make an Axoflee without an MYO or permission from the owner
-You may own as many Axoflees as you would want
-You must follow the artists rules for obtaining Adoptables and Customs
-You may not get a Axoflee from an artist that has blocked you and please do not force them to make one for you
-Finding loopholes can ban-able but it depends on who catches you, it can be either a strike or ban, the staff member that catches you doing it can decide

If you don’t follow the rules, you get a strike. Four strikes and you are banned from this species. When you are banned:

-You cannot obtain any Axoflees
-You cannot trade for Axoflees
-Your Axoflees(s) will still be yours but you cannot swap them for other ones
-You cannot make money or any in game currency off your Axoflees. If they are traded, they must be gifts

Do not trade any Axoflees to anyone on the banned list. This can give you a strike.
